A toe was dipped into the frost fan waters by Daking Welders and Fabricators P/L early in 1998.

The first step was made with the motivation to increase the product range marketed at the time by D.W.F., but it soon became clear the potential and level of dedication required to take a significant role in the frost fan industry.

Ben Daking as sales and technical adviser for D.W.F. led the program.

At first, the A.I.D. brand of machine was imported from Italy. This gave D.W.F. an exclusive insight into the requirements of the frost fighting industry, particularly into what level of commitment and response was required as both an equipment and service provider.

2003 saw a combination of events which resulted in the joining of strengths between D.W.F. Pty. Ltd., Hawkes Bay Wind Machines in NZ (manufacturer of the FROST BOSS) and Wind Machines of Australia (Cummins Engine Co.).

The combination of expertise, experience and industry resources provided a platform for revolutionary development in the areas of machine technology, service tools and equipment. D.W.F. began the implementation of a support network across Australia which is unmatched.

In 2003, D.W.F. Frost Fans was registered as a trading name and became the biggest provider of new frost fans and service in Australia.

The following years saw D.W.F. Frost Fans grow dramatically. In November 2004, we purchase the first specifically designed frost fan service truck in Australia. Next addition to the fleet was a crane for installation and repair.

In February 2007, Ben (with wife Clarissa) purchased the trading name D.W.F. Frost Fans along with the rights to sell the Frost Boss wind machine across Australia.

Aussie Frost Fans Pty. Ltd. was born.

A focused approach since inception has seen business flourish, with now some 800 machines Australia wide being provided service and support through the Aussie Frost Fans network.

Aussie Frost Fans still remains the only company in Australia that is 100% committed to frost fan sales, service and repair - it's all we do. We continue to develop our support network across the country as our customer base grows.
